Corporate Sustainability

“Sustainable development can make firms more competitive, more resilient to shocks, nimbler in a fast-changing world, more unified in purpose, more likely to attract and hold customers and the best employees, and more at ease with regulators, banks, insurers, and financial markets”. World Business Council for Sustainable Development (2002).

Strategic planning is shifting from a focus on capital investment and asset productivity towards a broader set of objectives that address the organisation’s long-term social and environmental impacts. Concepts of corporate social responsibility, eco-efficiency, extended supply chain responsibility and stakeholder engagement are proving to be ‘good for business’.

Climate Change Response helps clients understand global sustainability issues and the role that business can play in sustainable development at a local and a global level. This knowledge enables clients to develop performance frameworks that manage impacts, support informed decision making and reporting, and drive sustainable development outcomes. Climate Change Response provides a wide range of complementary sustainability services to support corporations and entities to improve their sustainability performance.

Corporate Sustainability Strategy

A strategic approach towards sustainable development inevitably requires organisational transformation where innovation and culture play key roles. Climate Change Response can facilitate a process that enables managers to understand the internal and external business drivers and opportunities that influence an organisation’s long-term sustainability. Our process aims to map and understand the sustainability impacts of any business using Climate Change Response’s experience and proven methodology. We analyse the factors that shape core business planning and decision-making then overlay the sustainability impacts in order to identify the opportunities where organisations can align their long-term strategic direction towards sustainable development. The Climate Change Response team offer services relating to the development of sustainability strategies or frameworks for companies, organisations or individual projects.
