On the 19th of March 2010 ClimateWorks Australia launched a new report on emissions reductions in Australia. The report “Low Carbon Growth Plan for Australia” lays out the emissions reductions opportunities available to 2020 across all major sectors of the economy using technologies that are known today.

The Low Carbon Growth Plan was supported by international management consultants, McKinsey & Company.

ClimateWorks Australia is a new not-for-profit organisation that seeks to provide practical solutions dedicated to a sustainable and prosperous low carbon society. A partnership between The Myer Foundation and Monash University, ClimateWorks Australia says it will develop projects that deliver substantive and lasting reductions in greenhouse gas emissions in the fastest and most cost effective way. These will be targeted interventions that drive behavioural and structural change.
